An apprenticeship program is a wonderful recruitment tool to foster and train new employees. To provide companies with guidance, TCIA developed Arborist Apprenticeship Program to help employers build their workforce.
The TCI Apprenticeship Program includes on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and professional development, which leads to a certificate of Completion in Apprenticeship. The arborist apprenticeship takes three years to complete, with an opportunity for the apprentice to earn an Arborist Journeyworker certificate from the US Department of Labor.
This is an “earn while you learn” model. Apprentices become employees who receive a paycheck from day one, so they earn wages while they learn on the job.
