About the Program
Members of Cohanzick Climate Corps learn all aspects of tree care from the very beginning of service. The program is hosted at Cohanzick Nature Reserve, a 63-acre Green Acres open space dedicated to preserving a pristine ecosystem of woodland forest and public trail system.
Members have the option of serving 1-term only or committing to 3-terms of service to complete US DOL requirements.
Benefits
- Weekly Stipend: $500.00
- Education Award: $4,800.00 per 1200HR Term, $3,400.00 per 900HR Term
- ISA Certified Arborist Exam Prep
Program Outline
The Arborist Apprenticeship program rewards those members that make the commitment learn arboriculture and serve multiple terms by earning an Industry Certification and Diploma.
Upon successful program completion Members have the flexible options of:
- Beginning their career in Tree Care; or
- Continuing their education with multiple Segal Education Awards that can be used to pay tuition or student loans.!
